Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Schovis web application ("Schovis" or "Web App") operated by Ekrem Çetinkaya and Ammar Rashed ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your use of the Schovis Web App and any related services provided by us. By accessing or using Schovis, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Web App.
1.1 By using Schovis, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Web App. If you are accessing Schovis on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the necessary authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1.2 We may modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any changes. Continued use of Schovis after any modifications to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
2.1 Schovis is an online platform that provides visualization for academic metrics. You may use Schovis solely for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
2.2 You agree not to access, use, or attempt to access or use Schovis for any illegal or unauthorized purposes. You also agree not to engage in any activity that may disrupt or interfere with the proper functioning of Schovis or infringe upon the rights of others.
3.1 n order to use certain features of Schovis, you may be required to create a user account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
3.2 We utilize Google Sign-In for user authentication. When using Google Sign-In, you acknowledge and agree to comply with Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
3.3 ou are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. You agree not to share your account credentials with any third party. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
4.1 We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
4.2 As stated in our Privacy Policy, we do not store any sensitive data for users. However, we may collect and store certain non-sensitive information necessary for the proper functioning of Schovis and to provide you with the services requested.
4.3 By using Schovis, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
5.1 Schovis and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Ekrem Çetinkaya and Ammar Rashed and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works or adaptations of, publicly display or perform, or in any way exploit any of the content or materials available on Schovis without our prior written consent.
5.2 By submitting or uploading any content to Schovis, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform such content in connection with Schovis and our business operations.
6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of Schovis.
7.1 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Schovis, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including, but not limited to, a breach of these Terms.
7.2 Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights, disclaimer of warranties, and limitations of liability, shall continue to apply.
8.1 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under any applicable law, such provision shall be deemed modified to the extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of Schovis and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us.
